The differences you can compare today
Rockstar’s GTA V announcement describes three interconnected protagonists in a Southern California setting. Its GTA VI character introductions name Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, while the location material introduces Leonida and Vice City. These are different casts and settings; neither fact establishes a numerical map-size comparison.

Graphics comparisons need the game version attached
Rockstar’s current-console GTA V announcement describes graphics modes with different visual and frame-rate priorities. That is version-specific documentation. A GTA V screenshot from an older console, a modified PC installation and an official GTA VI trailer are three different production conditions, so lining them up cannot isolate a hardware or engine improvement.
For a useful visual comparison, label the game, platform, source and capture conditions beside each image. Match the scene type where possible and distinguish footage from promotional stills. Do not report a measured frame rate, loading-time reduction or resolution advantage unless you have corresponding test evidence. The frame-rate guide explains the difference between a target and a measured result.
A new setting does not prove a larger playable map
Vice City and the named Leonida destinations establish places Rockstar has introduced. They do not provide a measured boundary, total traversable area or ratio against GTA V. Fan reconstructions may be interesting interpretations, but a guessed coastline should not become a specification in a comparison table.
If your buying decision depends on exploration, inspect the official location introductions for the environments that interest you. Keep a separate column for announced locations and another for features you still need confirmed, such as accessible interiors or specific activities. This makes the comparison useful without inventing a size multiplier.
Choose based on what you can actually play
GTA V is a released game whose supported edition and features can be checked before purchase. GTA VI is a separate product, so owning V does not establish an entitlement to VI, and a GTA Online character-transfer policy for an older console upgrade does not prove transfer into a new game.
Before buying either, confirm the exact storefront edition, platform, account region and included content. For VI, use the editions guide for purchase differences and the online guide for multiplayer announcement status. Avoid treating trailers as a complete replacement for these product details.

Is GTA 6 confirmed to run at the same frame rate as GTA 5?
