Creator playbook Playbook

A 30-day creator roadmap before GTA VI

A practical four-week plan to choose a creator niche, make a small portfolio project, test it with real people, and prepare a credible launch.

Week one: choose one audience and one problem

Pick a narrow audience: a new roleplayer, a small server owner, an environment artist, or a video creator. Talk to a few people in that group and ask what repeatedly slows them down. Do not begin by pitching a marketplace or asking whether they like a huge feature list.

Write a one-page brief with the problem, deliverable, intended user, constraints, and a definition of done. Keep a separate list of ideas that depend on unannounced GTA VI features so they do not quietly become project requirements.

Week two: make the smallest useful version

Build something that can be inspected: an original prop with source files, a documented tool for a supported runtime, a beginner onboarding guide, or a short source-linked video series. The deliverable should solve one problem well enough to invite specific feedback.

  • Keep the scope small enough to finish in one week.
  • Track source files and changes from the beginning.
  • Document external assets and dependencies as you add them.
  • Use realistic sample data and label demonstrations clearly.
  • Write the installation or usage instructions while you still remember each step.

Week three: watch someone else use it

Give the deliverable to a few relevant people and observe where they hesitate. Ask them to explain what they think it does before you explain it yourself. Confusion at that stage is useful evidence about positioning and instructions.

Record problems by severity and frequency. Fix the issues that prevent the main task first. A request for an unrelated feature belongs in the next-project list unless it reveals that you misunderstood the audience’s actual need.

Week four: package a credible portfolio piece

Publish a clear description, accurate screenshots, a short demonstration, known limitations, and a way to understand the source or deliverable. Explain which parts you created and which platform you tested. Include a changelog if other people may depend on the work.

End the month with a decision: maintain the project, improve it for a specific audience, or retire it after learning something useful. A finished, honest portfolio piece is a stronger foundation for future GTA VI opportunities than an expansive coming-soon page with nothing behind it.

Questions, answered.

Do I need GTA VI access to start this roadmap?

No. The plan focuses on transferable work and currently supported workflows.

Should I start with a marketplace?

Start with one audience and a concrete problem. A marketplace adds distribution, permission, support, and payment questions before you have validated demand.
